Living with Depression and/or anxiety is a battle that a lot of us can relate to, and if you don’t suffer from it personally, the chances are you know someone who does. Keeping a handle on your thoughts and emotions, oftentimes feels overwhelming and trying to explain these feelings to a non-sufferer, even the ones with the best intentions, can be very difficult indeed.
Sometimes in these cases a picture is indeed worth a thousand words. Illustrations, such as the ones that Gemma Correll has created below, can be really helpful in portraying the explosion of thoughts and feelings that someone with depression or anxiety feels, while even going about simple, every day tasks.
If you do suffer from either anxiety or depression, then you will relate to these, and hopefully, find the humour behind them. When we are at our lowest points sometimes laughing can be a wonderful tool. For non-sufferers you may not relate, but these will give you an insight into what a sufferer experiences on a regular basis.
